Mark Lazberger - Chief Executive Officer

Mark is the Chief Executive Officer for Colonial First State Global Asset Management. He oversees the performance and strategic direction of all vehicles managed by the business. Before joining Colonial First State Global Asset Management in September 2008 Mark was President, International and Executive Vice President of State Street Global Advisors (SSgA).
Prior to this, he was Head of International Businesses, President and CEO of State Street, Japan and a Principal and Regional Managing Director of SSgA's businesses in Japan and Australia. He joined SSgA in early 1993 after spending two years with State Street Corporation's treasury area.
Before joining State Street, Mark worked at the State Authorities Superannuation Board, Citibank, and the CRA group. He was also Inaugural President of the Sydney Society of Financial Analysts (SSFA), and is a former board member of the Japan Society of Investment Professionals (currently, CFA Society of Japan).
Mark has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Perry Clausen - Head of Infrastructure
|
|
Perry is the Head of Infrastructure for Colonial First State Global Asset Management.
In April 2009, Perry was appointed to jointly lead the Infrastructure Investments business as well as having continued direct responsibility for the Australian infrastructure investment funds and separate accounts in infrastructure. In addition, in April 2009 Perry was appointed as a member of the Colonial First State Global Asset Management Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Colonial First State Global Asset Management in March 2007, Perry was Director of Infrastructure Investments for Super Investment Management Pty Limited; a wholly owned funds management company of the then A$12 billion Retail Employees Superannuation Trust (‘REST’). Perry was responsible for establishing a direct infrastructure portfolio and for managing REST’s investment in a number of entities. Perry has more than 20 years of infrastructure and financial experience including nine years at the National Australia Bank where he was a director in the Project and Structured Finance Group. For six years Perry was a director and Investment Committee Member of National Australia Bank Superannuation Pty Ltd, the trustee of the A$2 billion National Australia Bank Group Superannuation Fund.
Perry has a Masters of Tax from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, Canada and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Andrew Cummins - Head of Strategy, Project & Operations

Andrew Cummins is the Head of Strategy, Projects & Operations for Colonial First State Global Asset Management.
Andrew oversees the development of strategy for the business and is responsible for a number of global projects which support the implementation of this strategy. He is a member of the Colonial First State Global Asset Management Executive Committee. Prior to joining Colonial First State Global Asset Management in June 2010 Andrew was Division Director at Macquarie Securities Group in Sydney.
Prior to this, he was Managing Director, European Institutional Business Manager for BlackRock in London where he had responsibility for a number of major projects. These included the integration of the Philips Investment Management business in the Netherlands and the global rollout of an Institutional Client Relationship Management system. He was also responsible for new business pricing across Europe and oversight of Institutional Marketing, Information Research and was a Director on the Boards of the group’s Isle of Man companies.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Birmingham in the UK and is a member of the CFA Society of the UK.

Joanna Davison - Regional Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand

Joanna is the Regional Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM). Joanna oversees the strategic direction of Australian and New Zealand business development, client services, responsible investment and sustainability, and the marketing and communication functions.Joanna joined CFSGAM in June 2009. Joanna has more than 23 years’ experience in the funds management industry with varying roles both in Australia and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining CFSGAM Joanna was Director, Investor Services at Russell Investments. In this role Joanna was responsible for the management of the Institutional Client Services team. Previously Joanna was Director of Sales at Russell Investments leading the national sales team in the institutional market. Joanna is a member of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia Investment Committee and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. Joanna holds a Master of Arts (Honours) from Cambridge University, United Kingdom

David Dixon - Chief Investment Officer

David is the Chief Investment Officer for our business. In this role, David is responsible for managing the investment management teams. The investment management team comprises approximately 100 staff located in Australia, Europe, Asia and the US. David joined the business in May 2003.
David brings more than 20 years' experience in the investment management industry to his role as CIO. Prior to this, David was CIO of IAG Asset Management where he had overall responsibility for approximately A$10 billion of assets under management and was a member of IAG's Asset Liability Committee.

Joe Fernandes – Head of Global Investment Solutions
|

Joe is Head of the Global Investment Solutions Group for our business. Located in Sydney, Hong Kong and London, the Group is a multi-disciplinary team with responsibility for the evaluation, development and commercialization of investment offers globally across all asset classes, as well as management of the group’s multi-strategy solutions business.
Joe’s industry experience spans 15 years in business leadership, portfolio management and investment advisory roles. He has established and directed multiple investment businesses, overseeing management of more than A$15 billion across index, active and alternative asset portfolios. Joe joined the Colonial First State Group in May 2001 and Colonial First State Global Asset Management at its establishment in February 2005.
He is a member of Colonial First State Global Asset Management’s executive management team, an executive director of the business’s Australian operations and a Commissioner Director of PT First State Investments Indonesia.
Joe holds a PhD in Mathematical Physics from Monash University, and retains links with the University via membership of the Advisory Board of the School of Mathematics.

Lindall West – Head of Human Resources
|
|
Lindall is responsible for the Human Resources function globally, including development and execution of recruitment, retention, talent management and reward strategies. Lindall is also a member of the CFSGAM Executive Committee.
Prior to joining CFSGAM in January 2011, Lindall was Head of Human Resources Asia, Westpac Banking Corporation based in Singapore. In this capacity she had responsibility for all elements of human resources across Singapore, Hong Kong, China, India and Indonesia. Lindall also held a senior Organisational Development role for Westpac Institutional Bank where she was responsible for leading work on Diversity, Talent, Leadership Development and Talent Acquisition.
Prior to this she held the role of Head of Human Resources for BT Investment Management where she led the people integration of three funds management businesses. In 2000, Lindall took on the role of Head of Human Resources and Training for Rothschild Australia Asset Management. Lindall has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Industrial Relations. She was formerly the Vice-Chairperson of FIRG and a Committee Member of Women in Finance.

Brian Hollingworth - Chief Risk Officer

Brian is accountable for the CFSGAM risk management and compliance strategy, leading the development of a risk aware culture, designing and implementing the framework for managing risk and compliance across CFSGAM and influencing the evolution of risk practices in the business. Brian is a risk management specialist with over twenty years of experience in strategic business planning, project management, establishing risk frameworks and assessing complex business processes and information technology effectiveness. Prior to his current role, while with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Group, Brian led the evolution of the risk strategy, framework and practices at a Wealth Management level for approximately four years. Prior to that, Brian was responsible for the delivery of Group Audit services to the Wealth Management and International Financial Services business units for two years.Before joining the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Group, Brian provided risk management consulting services as a member of various professional services firms in Australia and in the UK.
Brian has a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Chartered Accountant. He is also a member of the Australasian Compliance Institute and Risk Management Association of Australia.

Stuart Paul - Joint Managing Partner, Asia Pacific - Global Emerging Markets Team

Stuart Paul is Joint Managing Partner of the Asia Pacific - Global Emerging Markets equity team at First State Investments. Stuart’s primary responsibility is for business management of the Asia Pacific/ Global Emerging Markets franchise and monitoring of the investment process for the team. Stuart was Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer of First State International, a role he assumed in July 2003. This role represented an expansion of his previous position as Chief Investment Officer of First State’s UK investment team, a post he held since October 2000.
Stuart joined Stewart Ivory and Company, now First State Investments, in 1994 as an analyst and worked on the North American, UK and European equity desks. Two years later he became Portfolio Manager for US equities. In 1999, he was appointed Joint Head of Emerging Markets (ex-Asia) Equities.

Michael Stapleton - Regional Managing Director - Asia and Japan

Michael was appointed Regional Managing Director, Asia and Japan, in February 2009 and has been based in Hong Kong since June 2009. He previously held the position Head of Institutional Business for First State Investments (UK) Ltd, having first joined the company as Institutional Business Director in March 2002.
Michael commenced his career in 1995 at JP Morgan Investments in Australia, as a member of the Institutional Business Team. Based in Melbourne, Michael held the position of institutional account manager servicing institutions throughout Australia. In 1998, Michael joined Colonial First State Investments’ institutional business development team where he was responsible for maintaining institutional consultant and client relationships in Australia, before moving to First State Investments in the UK.

Angus McNaughton – Managing Director, CFSGAM Property

Angus McNaughton is the Managing Director of Property for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’). The Property division includes listed property, unlisted property and our asset management and development functions.
In his role Angus oversees the performance and strategic direction for all vehicles managed by these businesses and maintains responsibility for driving the long term strategy and performance of the wholesale property business. With more than 20 years’ experience in the property (asset and development management), capital markets and funds management industries, Angus leads one of Australia’s largest fully integrated property businesses. Angus has been working with the business for over 17 years, most recently as Head of Wholesale Property Funds, prior to which he worked in Singapore investigating opportunities for the group. Angus was also the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Stock Exchange Top 10 listed Kiwi Income Property Trust (‘KIP’). In 2007, Angus received the Property Institute of New Zealand’s Property Industry Award (sole recipient) and in 2006 he was voted one of the New Zealand Herald’s Top 10 Business Leaders of the Year.

Mark Steinberg – Chief Financial Officer

Mark is the Chief Financial Officer for our business, with key responsibilities including financial reporting, management reporting, tax, treasury, transaction advice and fund accounting. Mark was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in January 2008 and assumed responsibility for Colonial First State Global Asset Management strategy in February 2009. Mark was previously with Macquarie where he was a Director in the Macquarie Capital Funds business, with his principal role being Chief Financial Officer of Macquarie Capital Alliance Group, an ASX listed private equity style.

James Twiss – Managing Director, Americas

James Twiss is the Managing Director, Americas for Colonial First State Global Asset Management (‘CFSGAM’). In his role, James is responsible for the establishment of a US presence and is currently focused on building the business. This includes developing infrastructure, including regulatory approvals, and building relationships with current / potential clients and asset consultants. He is a member of the CFSGAM Executive Committee.
Prior to joining CFSGAM in July 2011, James was the General Manager, Cross-Business Unit projects, Group Strategic Development at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. In this role, James was responsible for leading a team that manages high-profile strategic projects for the Group from inception to the implementation stage. Prior to this, James worked at McKinsey & Company, where he spent several years developing and implementing market entry strategies. James holds an AB from Harvard and an MBA from Stanford and is proficient in Russian.

Gary Withers – Regional Managing Director, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa)
|

In June 2009, Gary was appointed Regional Managing Director, EMEA and is based in London. He joined First State Investments from Credit Suisse where he held the roles of Head, Global Investors; Head, Asset Management; and Vice-Chairman.
Gary began his career as an Investment Manager in 1986 with Shell International in the United Kingdom, moving in 1991 to McKinsey & Company where he was part of the team that managed the first project with Mercury Asset Management in 1993.
In 1994, he joined Merrill Lynch Investment Management as UK Institutional Director and during its US$5 billion acquisition of Mercury Asset Management was appointed Integration Director. He was subsequently appointed UK Retail Funds Director with responsibility for overseeing the suite of retail products. In 2001, he joined AVIVA as Director, Group Strategy and Development where he was responsible for leading the 2003 Board strategic review before joining Credit Suisse in 2007.
Gary holds an engineering degree from Cambridge University, an INSEAD MBA, and ACCA (management accounting) qualifications. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry and is a member of the Colonial First State Global Asset Management Executive Committee.
